Class Descriptions
Each class at SWY follows a clear arc — grounded in intelligent sequencing and tailored for midlife strength, stability, and support.
You’re welcome to stick with one style or move between both. Grounded and Rising are designed to complement each other — creating a weekly rhythm that builds strength, confidence, and nervous system resilience.
Grounded
Strong, steady, supportive
A slower-paced movement class for strength, stability, and nervous system support.
Grounded blends breath-led movement, strength-building transitions, and thoughtful use of props to offer a steadier, more restorative-leaning practice — designed to build resilience without overwhelm.
If you're joining us across both Grounded and Rising classes, you’ll find the work naturally complements and deepens across both.
Best suited for:
– Newer or returning practitioners
– Those seeking strength and nervous system support over speed
– Anyone wanting to reconnect with body, breath, and steady effort
– Students comfortable moving from floor to standing unassisted
Beginner-friendly, but not suitable for those needing individual support for injuries or significant mobility challenges.
Rising
Dynamic, playful, focused
A steady-paced flow to build strength, coordination, and resilience.
This dynamic vinyasa-inspired class explores playful transitions, strength-focused poses, and deeper engagement — without rushing or pressure. Sequences are thoughtfully layered and paced with nervous system awareness.
Best suited for:
– Those comfortable with steady-flow classes
– Students curious about strength work or transitions
– Anyone seeking energy, focus, and a deeper body-breath connection
You don’t need to be “advanced” — just open to exploring your edges.
