Midlife Isn’t a Crisis — It’s a Comeback
I’ve come to realise…
Midlife isn’t falling apart.
It’s falling into place.
And it’s never too late to start something new — or stop something that no longer fits.
Proof? Just a few things I started (or quit) later than the world says you should:
Yoga… at 29. (On carpet. With a VHS.)
Quit smoking at 35
Ditched the booze at 35… then again (for good) at 49
Had my babies at 37 and 39
Did my first yoga teacher training at 44
Started teaching at 46
Took up strength training at 54
Gave up trying to understand the appeal of bike shorts with a bum scrunch… 5 minutes ago 🙃
The older I get, the more curious, confident, and quietly rebellious I become.
I care less about being “nice” and more about being honest.
Less about how things look, more about how they feel.
Support over aesthetics, every time.
Even my car — bless her — leaks in the wet season and rattles like a shopping trolley around corners. But she still gets me where I need to go.
And honestly? So do I.
So if you’re in your 40s or 50s wondering if you’ve missed your window…
You haven’t.
It’s still wide open.
The glow-up isn’t in the filter — it’s in the freedom.
And if you’ve been quietly waiting for a sign to start, stop, shift, soften, or rise?
This is it.
With love and high-waisted undies,
